How to Protest Your Property Taxes

Property owners who disagree with their 2020 valuation are encouraged to file a notice of protest. The deadline to file a protest is May 15th or 30 days from the date after the notice is delivered, whichever is later.

There are 3 ways to file your protest:

 

1. Online

An Online Protest ID, which can be found in the upper, right corner of the notice of appraised value, is required for an online protest.

2. Informal Meeting by Phone/E-mail

If you are unable or ineligible to file a protest through the online protest system, please file the Notice of Protest by mail.  In Section 4 of the Notice of Protest form, indicate that you want an Informal Meeting. Leave your Phone Number & Email Address, this allows an Appraiser to contact you

 

3. Formal Meeting
